Our mission: With God’s love, grace, and guidance, we strive to serve others through the love of Jesus Christ and become the people God created us to be.

First Presbyterian is a beautiful old building with members who appreciate where they have come from and are excited to do new things.  We are an inclusive, inter-generational congregation affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).  No matter your background or experience, you will find an encouraging and supportive community. We invite everyone to come as they are and strive to nurture each individual and the body of Christ they help to create here.

We are happy to help you explore what it means to be a Presbyterian, but we are most passionate about exploring the claim that Jesus is Lord.  Growing into that discovery might look different for all of us.  But if you want to move in healthy directions with curious friends learning to love God and each other, this might be the place for you.

Sunday Schedule

One of our adult faith formation classes starts at 9:15 am in our church parlor. Our second adult class begins at 9:30 am in the church library. Adults and children are welcome to participate in Waffles and Jesus, at 9:15 am, with breakfast in Zimmerman Fellowship Hall, located in our church basement. Children have time to learn after breakfast while adults enjoy conversations together. Worship begins at 10:30 am.  If you would benefit from conversations that connect faith with the rest of life, we encourage you to join our FPC Discussion Group (email our front office for details – info@fpcfs.org)
